Wild for Walker Zanger
BlogTour Vegas with Modenus was a whirlwind. We had back to back events for 5 days filled with amazing new products. I had certain products that spoke to me.
Walker Zanger was one of those.
They are my go to source for tile in Charlotte. The showroom is brimming with opulent selections as well as the much needed basics at reasonable price points. The staff is beyond helpful as well.
I was thrilled to meet the engaging powers that be who truly have a passion for the product. Hearing the design inspiration behind each product gives me so much insight and inspiration for how to use each one. I have included the new collections below with my images from KBIS2015.
The new tile collections are just amazing!
STERLING ROW Collection
Porcelain
Like the elegant suit of well dressed gentlemen, Sterling Row tiles are exquisitely tailored in both shape and color. Created from a combination of porcelain tile and marble in tones of gray, white and black, the designs of Sterling Row are inspired by the elegant feel of fine fabrics, the richness of burnished leather and the luxuriously appointed shops of the finest tailors in London, Manhattan and Paris. Sterling Row offers the look of exquisite wood and marble inlay that can be used in any space of the home, and most commercial applications, with minimal maintenance.
Ceramic and Terracotta
Fun and functional, Tilt is an eclectic new collection of stoneware mosaic patterns in an exciting variety of shapes and textures. Taking inspiration from sources as varied as Hollywood Regency, Pop Art, Gothic Carving, Flower Power and 1970s Sci Fi, Tilt presents designers and home owners with a wealth of options that can add decorative punch or create subtle geometric backdrops.
Stone Mosaic
A Tangent is defined as ”a line that touches but does not intersect a curve.” It is a word that describes geometry, but also one used to describe heading off in directions unknown. Both definitions are appropriate for our new collections of decorative stone mosaics, in which abstract geometry and mid century modern design influences merge with the beauty of natural stone, creating a richness that will beguile you anew each time you see it.
Ceramic and Terracotta
Duquesa, our new collection of handpainted tiles, draws on influences as disparate as Italian textiles, Portuguese ceramic tiles, Moroccan mosaics, Egyptian wood inlay and Chinese decorative screens. Each tile is handpainted on a cream background, creating a rich vintage look that fits a home with historical roots or brings gravitas to a newly constructed space.
Stone Mosaic
Villa d’Oro is a stunning collection of stone mosaic and intarsia patterns inspired by the artistic heritage of the countless cultures that have called the Mediterranean home. In Villa d’Oro, decorative influences from Moorish Spain mingle with Venetian Gothic and Medieval Egyptian, echoing the mélange created by the eons of cultural overlap in the ancient Mediterranean world. Working from historical sources, we stripped each design down to its graphic essence and then rebuilt it in contemporary color ways and scale, keeping in mind how people use patterns today. Each pattern in Villa d’Oro is carefully cut and assembled from stones fittingly sourced in a variety of Mediterranean countries, creating new decorative art to enliven your modern surroundings.
