Wanderlust Wednesday: Emporio Sirenuse and Le Sirenuse
Summer says caftan and I cannot get enough. A friend e-introduced my to the proprietor of Emporio Le Sirenuse. Le Sirenuse is the Positano, Italy resort that I have long dreamed of visiting. Carla Sersale has put together the most lovely collection of caftans, dresses and home accessories that have me dreaming of the Amalfi coast and lazy days sipping Campari on a lounger.
First, the fashions and then the resort….add this one to the travel bucket list.
EMPORIO LE SIRENUSE
POSITANO, SINCE 1990
Emporio Sirenuse offers a curated selection of beautiful, sophisticated clothes, accessories and homeware.
Some are sourced from talented artisanal designers. Others, including a series of hand embroidered throw pillows designed by Carla Sersale and inspired by Central Asian textile motifs, are made exclusively for the Emporio by expert Indian craftsmen.
From Eau d’Italie fragrances and beauty products to iconic Carlo Moretti tumblers, the Emporio packs a lot of elegance into a small space. And now our little Positano style emporium is online. Happy browsing!
Carla Sersale
Le Sirenuse is a wonderful place from which to enjoy the simple pleasures of Positano and the spectacular Amalfi Coast.
Le Sirenuse opened in 1951, when the Marchesi Sersale turned their summer house into a charming Hotel, overlooking the bay of Positano. Today Le Sirenuse has 58 rooms, furnished with all the comforts of a luxury hotel, while maintaining the atmosphere of a private home.
Franco, who lived abroad for many years, returned to Positano in 1990 and started a major refurbishing of the hotel. Antonio, Franco’s son, studied and worked abroad for many years. He is the manager of the hotel from 1992. Carla, Antonio’s wife, looks after the boutique EMPORIO Le Sirenuse. Giulia, Paolo’s daughter, is responsible for all terraces and plants. Marina, Paolo’s daughter, with her husband Sebastian Alvarez Murena, created EAU D’ITALIE, Le Sirenuse’s fragrance.
Carla, book my room. I am coming next summer.
Be sure to peruse the beautiful website for more. I am headed to the Emporio to get my Caftan fix.
How serendipitous that you can win a trip to Le Sirenuse HERE with one of my very favorite online shopping sites that epitomizes global chic, L’atitude. Fingers crossed!
