Wallpaper Wednesday has unearthed F. Schumacher’s beautiful Amaltas Panel.  

Otherworldly and enchanting, this Amaltas Panel is a wallpaper based on an 18th century block-printed fabric document discovered in Schumacher’s archives.

A forest of exotic flowers spreads through the upper canvas, while a herd of quirky animals cavorts through an underworld of fantastically patterned caves. Part of our East Meets West collection.
