Travel Tuesday: The Dunlin
An email from Auberge Resorts peaked my interest with stunning imagery from a fabulous new resort, The Dunlin, in South Carolina.
I recently visited Bowie House in Fort Worth which is another new Auberge property and was blown away!
I have a feeling The Dunlin will do the same.
BREATHE, AND INDULGE IN LIFE’S SIMPLE PLEASURES
The Dunlin welcomes you to experience the outdoor bliss of coastal living in Charleston’s Sea Islands
Journey just 20 miles from Charleston to Johns Island and the banks of the Kiawah River – the coastal home of The Dunlin, named after our beautiful local shorebird. We welcome you to breathe in the sea air, surrender to sunny days and starry nights dictated by the simple pleasures of nature’s rhythms. Get lost, physically and metaphorically, along our labyrinthine paths through the marshland or in a good book whilst sitting on a wicker rocking chair on your wooden porch, cocktail in hand. This here is a peaceful life, marked by conversation with extended family and friends, farm-fresh Southern cooking, and the whistles of Carolina wren in the distance. Welcome.
THE ENCHANTING EFFECT OF SOUTHERN LIVING
Check into one of our 72 guest rooms and suites to experience the charm of Southern living. With stylish and whimsical interiors by acclaimed designer Amanda Lindroth, The Dunlin welcomes with a peaceful feel and a cottage-inspired aesthetic, featuring white-washed rooms and honey oak floors with mint green accents and textural linen fabrics. Outside, generous porches are the perfect place for morning coffee or a nightcap, offering a sublime oasis in the marshlands with expansive riverfront views.
Who else is craving the sea and salt air?
