Textile Tuesday: Hamilton Ikat by Schumacher

Happy Textile Tuesday!

I have always been a sucker for a pretty ikat.

Ikat fabric is a type of textile that is characterized by its unique dyeing technique, resulting in intricate and often blurred patterns. The word “ikat” comes from the Indonesian word “mengikat,” which means to tie or bind. This technique involves dyeing the yarns before they are woven into fabric, creating the pattern in the yarn itself rather than on the finished fabric.

My latest crush is Hamilton ikat by Schumacher.

All 3 colors of Hamilton Ikat.
