The Big Reveal: Taylor Burke Home “Style It” Challenge
I am so honored and thrilled to participate in the “Style It” Challenge with Taylor Burke Home in partnership with One Kings Lane and Cotton & Quill.
One Kings Lane Blog will be featuring all 5 participants today.
We all started with a single X Bench from Taylor Burke Home in our choice of fabric or leather with the option of adding a second one. I knew just where to start…my mountain cottage. Pixie Spring Cottage (circa 1887) has one family room where we gather. Extra seats are always welcome to warm by the fire or catch the game. These benches are great because the have enough weight to be a sturdy and comfortable seat yet they are light enough to pull around.
I squashed my strong urge to use zebra hide because of the antelope rug. The unexpected moss green was the perfect choice.
It is not my normal bold choice but, the exact complement I needed for the eggplant Thibaut grasscloth just installed
and the fun Cotton & Quill pillows created from their Liza Hathaway Matthews Purple Orchid Fabric that give the otherwise subdued colors some punch.
Here is the PETER 23″ X-BENCH, BRASS/MOSS GREEN you can purchase through One Kings Lane or The English Room.
So here you have it…THE BIG REVEAL.
The benches are perfect to flank the cocktail table for a game of Monopoly or a cheese plate.
But, when you want to be warmed by the fire they are also handy.
Aren’t the benches just amazing?
What a bunch of talented ladies! Please be sure to head over to all the blogs to see how each of us styled our benches and of course to the One Kings Lane Blog to see the reveals as well.
