Pamela Lovett Jewelry
I want to introduce you to a creative force in Charlotte.
This lovely lady is the go to for so many things in our community. She is a mother of 6 children, a breeder of Cavalier King Charles Puppies, an orchid expert and a designer. Pamela has now mastered the art of jewelry design and I am smitten with her designs.
Enjoy getting to know.
Charlotte, NC
What is your training?
My formal training art history design from Saint Andrews.
What inspires you and your designs?
I consider my “real” training – a love of spanning centuries of furniture, art, jewelry, and Decor in iconic styles. I once had the privilege of working with Gerrie Bremermann. She is the queen in inspiration for me. She mixes heirlooms, antiques, modern accents and art that create something unexpected and individually wonderful.
What is your favorite piece?
My favorite piece is my Pedro Friedeberg gold hand chair. I have purchased three for clients since 1996. Then finally one for myself! His artistry is unique whimsical and inspires a sense of wonder for me.
How has the your area influenced your work?
I am such a visual person and my mind works overtime creatively. I see an object of interest and immediately my brain starts turning and thinking of ways to celebrate it.
What is your favorite restaurant in your hometown?
My favorite restaurant in Charlotte is The Fig Tree. It has great food and such a romantic setting.
What is your favorite cocktail?
Favorite cocktail –great goose with Blue cheese olives– but only one please?!
How do you balance personal life and work?
I definitely have trouble with balance.
The only way I get balanced and centered is though praise music and quiet time with God. I try and spend my first hour this way each day. Only some days it doesn’t happen or its rushed. That when I can feel “off”
Dream trip?
Mukul resort. I’ve been twice. My 40th birthday. Then again for my 25th wedding anniversary.
Heaven on earth.
Dream commission?
I just get super excited when anyone enjoys something I have created – brings me much joy.
(commission for me…cannot wait to pick up)
Your favorite host / hostess gift to give?
of course, an orchid arrangement.
Who is your style icon?
There’s romance, flair, and edge to her style- she breaks all the rules -and it’s never too serious.
I also like Kate Hudson style.
Your favorite up and coming designer
love Mara Hoffman
What is your most treasured possession?
My most treasured possessions are photos and videos of my family. Videos and pictures of when my children were born and benchmarks in our lives. My wedding video. These are my priceless possessions.
What are you reading?
Lately I’ve been reading the Psalms.
What are you listening to?
I listen to country, contemporary Christian, and the 70s music. I love the Bee Gees too!
What are your favorite blogs / publications?
My favorite publication has to be Veranda I have collected it since 1988
And if you browse from that year until today – the interiors haven’t changed much. I guess good taste never goes out of style.
