Palm Springs has long been on my bucket list. That mid century cool vibe so appeals to me as I picture Slim Aarons photographing parties by the pool with caftans and cocktails. I think 2013 is the year.  What fun would it be to attend Palm Springs Modernism Week?

If you're not already familiar with it,  Modernism Week (www.modernismweek.com) is an 11-day celebration of mid-century modern architecture, culture, and design that takes place in Palm Springs every spring.  We like to think of it as Woodstock for fans of modernism. Costumes and period-garb definitely abound at the poolside cocktail parties!  With home tours, architectural bus tours, garden tours, lectures, exhibitions, parties, and even a few dinner shows, and more, Modernism Week 2013 promises to be even bigger and better than last year.
