One Room Challenge Spring 2018: Week 5
I am fresh off a plane from London.
I am tired and unhappy about the progress while I was gone.
There is one stellar thing to report….otherwise, we are one step forward and two steps back.
Need to be updated?…As you may know from WEEK 1, WEEK 2, WEEK 3 & WEEK 4 I am participating in the Spring 2018 One Room Challenge.
The good news first: The hallway turned out perfectly! The light goes up tomorrow and the art needs to be rehung. This is a stunner!!!!
Bad News : The Legrand Adorne Dual USB, Plus Size Combo Outlet and White Wall Plate Bundle and the White Pop-Out 1-Gang Outlet came and were installed…not so well. The walls were scratched up and they will not sit flush due to the placement of old recepticals and outlets.
The electrician is headed back to try to remedy his crappy install. “while the cats away the mice will play…” seems to sum up the progress while I was not overseeing this.
Bad News 2: The ceiling was painted the wrong color today.
It was to be the Farrow & Ball wall color.…I was away and the painter used the wrong paint. I install all the furniture and rug tomorrow… then he will come repaint…that sounds like a bad idea. right.
Here is the disaster zone before the furniture delivery shows up tomorrow and the big switcheroo happens. Say a little prayer. I am just not as stressed as I should be. Hoping the photo shoot is a stunner and it comes together as it did in my mind.
Be sure to go back and read about each selection specifically.

You certainly succeeded at the one room challenge, because your hallway looks amazing! I have been looking to give my home a fresh upgrade, and I’m looking to go rustic with some fun tech upgrades to add a futuristic feel! I’ll definitely be going with some warm wood accents, keeping any tech additions simple, like the small Fire TV Stick I’ll be adding to my TV, which will all easily be hidden in a cabinet. I appreciate that you provided a link for the Jungle Palm wallpaper, because I’m just so obsessed with it!
