One Room Challenge Spring 2018: Week 4
I am a mess. I have little to report. I had a crap week. I have been busy running on the hamster wheel. I had a car accident that shook me yet didnt physically hurt me. thankfully.
I have replayed it in my mind a zillion times. I looked and the car wasn’t coming… but it was. I pulled out and was hit by the kindest man who has worked so hard for his new car that he had owned for 3 days. His car and mine were BAD. Airbags were out and we were emotionally shaken.
The kind man called his wife as I called my husband. They arrived almost in tandem. She parked and almost raced to ME. His wife raced to me!!!! She gave me a reassuring hug and said cars don’t matter but lives do. I was moved and still am. I cannot shake this generous response. I want to learn her kind and generous spirit…
On to the project at hand….
As you may know from WEEK 1, WEEK 2, WEEK 3 I am participating in the Spring 2018 One Room Challenge.

Here are a few peeks… paint art and curtains… Much of the room still needs help.
The curtains in Stroheim’s Montargis Berry are pure perfection. The embroidered linen drapes beautifully and they come perfectly packaged ready to hand. The hem length is also spot on grazing the floor as I had hoped.
Cupcakes and Cashmere Gold One-Light Table Lamp with Metal Mesh is the perfect little accent lamp below the Mick Jagger painting by Charlie Hanavich from Hidell Brooks Gallery.
This Mini Hinsdale 5-light LED Aged Brass Table Lamp is a stunner and provides a tremendous amount of light in the dark space.
This hallway is getting its makeover today with the Citrus Burst Paint and the wallpaper from Milton & King tomorrow.
I have little progress. The art that is here has been hung. The room needs the furniture to come together.
The curtains from Fabricut have been hung and they are stunners.
I leave for London Thursday night. I am going to see my daughter. I cannot wait because I miss her so very much! I get back Tuesday night. I plan to install the rug and all the furniture on Wednesday. That being said, all must arrive and work perfectly. We all know that doesn’t happen. Nail biting….

Oh my goodness!!! So relieved to hear you and all are okay from the car accident. This room is going to be so good. Relax and enjoy London with your girl!!

So glad you are alright . I know that was upsetting. Your room is coming along great. You are the only one I am following and I have loved seeing what you do. I am a retired art teacher and I love your brave art choices. Have a wonderful visit with your daughter.

I’m really glad you’re OK. Accidents are scary and really make you concentrate on what’s important. I’m sure seeing your daughter will help!
On a side note, I saw a backgammon table like yours in Palm Springs a few months ago, with translucent yellow and blue game pieces. Such a stunner! Your room is WOW already.

So sorry to hear about your accident. You already have her kind spirit.
