One Room Challenge Fall 2016: Week 4
I am back from High Point Market and ready for the final two weeks of the ORC.
The Room:
I am back from High Point Market and ready for the final two weeks of the ORC. See my One Room Challenge kickoff HERE to see all the before images of my new office, Week 2 & Week 3.
The Progress:
Big things are happening but, I am still feeling the pressure. I have moved my office officially over to the new space. It has such better light. The white walls are so much brighter and fresh.
I am thrilled with the progress but, still am in a total state of disrepair. I have my desk, tables and chairs in place. I met with a client here today and it was lovely.
Aren’t these chairs fab? The fabric is so soft and they are more generously sized than I thought.
The Roman Shades are in and look terrific!
You know the children’s book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie ? I am kind of living that. Once the office was painted, the hall needed refreshing….once the hall was painted and wallpapered with this fabulous graphic bamboo Farrow & Ball, the conference room needed a fresh update. All the samples are moved everywhere for it to be painted. I am afraid to install the new light fixture until all the dust from the painting is finished.
The conference room is now getting a coat of Farrow & Ball Wimborne White and these roller shades from The Shade Store.
Here is the current disaster zone…My dear sweet painter is moving at a snails pace and patience is not my virtue.
My old office is now full of stuff that still needs to be organized and moved.

Obstacles this week and TO DO:
I am slightly paranoid that the fab pink sofa will not fit. It should arrive by mid next week. Fingers and toes crossed.
The gallery wall and art needs to be hung. I am hesitant to hang because one of the Iris Apfel pieces is missing. I ordered in August and it has not shown up. Print Club London has been slow to respond.
This is the missing Iris.
This great piece I commissioned from Leslie Weaver. I love her!
Here are a few of my favorite gallery walls from past projects.
I am truly an art addict who is forced to have gallery walls because I cannot stop collecting.
Do you think I will get it together and accessorized in time?
Please put that pink sofa and its ability to possibly bend or fold on your prayer list!

Your gallery walls are amazing! I can’t wait to see your finished office. It’s so much fun watching your weekly progress.

I have complete faith in you! This room will be a lesson in color and it is what you do so well:)

Yes yes I do think you’ll pull it all together. Here’s to the pink couch fitting! My carpenter and I were just reminiscing about that time I bought a floor sample couch and to get it down the basement stair he had to pull out the entire door jamb. Oh good times. Hope your couch gives you much less trouble!
And yes! you totally need that Iris here NOW!
Calling it Home
Iris, Iris, Iris. It is so fun and fab.
