One Room Challenge Fall 2016: Week 3
The Room:
See my One Room Challenge kickoff HERE to see all the before images of my new office and Week 2 updates HERE.
The Progress:
The paint is complete in my office. The Farrow & Ball Wimborne White is the perfect white. It is just warm enough without being yellow at all or cold.It will be the perfect accent to the gallery wall and art that is coming. The trim and cabinets are Hague Blue. This is a longstanding favorite color. It has such depth and vibrancy while staying dark. The conference room is currently getting her facelift as is the vestibule between the offices.
The Savanna Scenes Cheetah carpet is installed and looks FABULOUS. Karastan animal print NEVER disappoints. It is so soft underfoot and durable which I need.
My collection of heads arrived from Africa. I love them so!
I have a great painting also from Morocco to grace the space behind my desk.
I have long craved this Trinket Table from Global Views and thought my office needed it.
Here are some art pieces going to be hung soon. I have a weakness for faces.
The long awaited Iris Apfel, my style icon, gallery wall is coming together. Two more pieces will be added as soon as they are back from the framer.

Obstacles:
I am slightly paranoid that I over-furnitured. I did this all by feel without measuring…a true gift MOST of the time. (Clients do not worry, I measure for you. I promise!) I am worried… yet, I always worry.
Most pieces (other than the fab pink sofa) should install this week and they look a bit larger than anticipated. YIKES! Thank you goodness I am flexible.
The other thing is I still do not love the cabinets (see the 1st image above). They just are flat and need more detail. I have just ordered a faux leather to upholster the fronts and add nailheads…. We shall see how this turns out.
Here are the upholstered doors I gathered from Pinterest for inspiration:
I do love an upholstered door. Don’t you?

This is so fun and so glam. Can’t wait to see it finished. Also love the Iris Apfel wall. Please add more info on the eye-shaped piece in that grouping.

Hague Blue is an all-time favourite, and I can’t wait to see where you land with the upholstered doors. Will you be DIY-ing? Because Holly! That’s quite the plot twist to give yourself while, you know, running a business and such. Nonetheless, you are the queen of fearless design and I have every confidence you’ll pull it off and then some. I am already preparing to scrape my jaw up off the floor.

I love faces too! I wonder what it says about us? I’ve got faces of all kind staring back at me throughout the house.
This room is going to be so freakin good!

Oh I love the idea of the upholstered doors! Oh course why not add a little hitch to your game plan at this point? It always makes for more fun! I love that trinket table and EVERYTHING you’ve got going on in the room!
