Hunt Slonem and more at Clark Gallery
I popped in a local Banner Elk, North Carolina gallery, Clark Gallery, today while in the mountains for the 4th. I was delighted to find a Hunt Slonem show. I have long been a fan of his work and only get to see it in magazines. I love his use of color, texture and always love his subject matter (animals mostly). Here are some of the beauties on display.
FUN FACT- the kind owner shared that he sold a huge Hunt Slonem, similar to the one above, to a VERY FAMOUS fashion designer last winter in Aspen (where he also has a gallery space) with the initials MJ. Cool, right?
I also fell hard for this fun painting by James Bursenos. I want it!
