Elliott Puckette at SOCO Gallery
Elliott Puckette has long been a favorite and coveted artist.
I am so excited to get to see this exhibition and meet the artist this week.
SOCO Gallery is beginning the 2017 fall season with a solo exhibition of new works by New York-based, Tennessee native, Elliott Puckette. Her work is in the permanent collections of The Whitney Museum of Art, The New York Public Library, and The Fogg Art Museum, and she has had numerous solo exhibitions in New York, London, and Milan. Her work has been reviewed in The New York Times, Vogue, and Artforum, among other publications.
With an impassioned investigation of the line, Puckette challenges our understanding of this simplest of artistic forms, seeing it as a trail to endless compositional and conceptual possibilities.
