I’m completely enamored with the work of my latest Artist Spotlight Series feature.

His work will be shown for the first time in United States in just a few weeks at Gallery Orange in New Orleans, Louisiana.

His work has captured my heart because it is naturally a girls best friend with either champagne or diamonds.

What is your training?

Interior Design.  I am a self taught painter.


What inspires you and your designs?



Inspiration can be taken from anything.  Travelling, social media and all the way down to a simple walk in the forest or beach.
 

What is your favorite piece?

The Green Emerald
 


How has the your area influenced your work?


I always felt the need to represent parts of my countries resources.  We have large diamond deposits and an exquisite range of plant life, called “fynbos”, only found in South Africa.  These are only a few of the things that I was drawn to and excited.

 

What is your favorite restaurant in Cape Town?

What is your favorite cocktail?


Negroni
 


How do you balance personal life and work?


I really enjoy what I do, so I don’t see them as separate.
 

Dream trip?


Japan, but it has to be with a local person, or a friend who knows Japan well.
 

Dream commission?


To be asked to produce a painting of my choice on a super yacht, while its travelling to my favourite destinations, where I can take as long as I want to produce it and am able take all my friends along.  (the yacht has an open bar and the best sound system that money can buy)
 


Your favorite host / hostess gift to give?


A Bottle of local Bubbly.
