A Spa Day with Mr. Steam and Tala
I have touted my love of Mr. Steam and the steam shower HERE.
This time on Blogtour Vegas, Mrs. Steam, Martha Orellana treated us to the Mr. Steam experience with a leasurly lunch and a spa day. It was much needed as many of us had a very late night dancing until dawn at the KBIS Bash!
Wow…did we ever need a steam.
I know, I know, it is a rough job but someone has to do it. We all left with a huge TALA GIFT SET in hand en route to the Aria Spa.
We started with a spa tour and then all did Lava Facials in the jacuzzi while they dried. Then off to the steam room.
Steam is beneficial to the body in so many ways:
A daily steam shower is one of the most refreshing rewards you can give yourself. Step inside and feel your senses expand. Boundaries soften and disappear. This is the most sensual of beauty rituals: relaxation and rejuvenation, stimulation and exhilaration.
SteamTherapy keeps you glowing as warm moisture opens your pores, leaving your skin softer and more supple. Steam cleanses and nourishes the skin, leaving it with a healthy glow. It hydrates dry skin. And, hallelujah, it can also aid in the fight against cellulite while boosting your metabolism.
That daily steam indulgence is a natural detox that removes harmful impurities from your body. It can also enhance your breathing, leaving you with an improved sense of tranquility, promoting restful sleep and wellness.
As if that weren’t enough, steam is also recommended for the relief of symptoms of colds, flu, sinusitis, bronchitis, allergies, asthma, throat irritation, arthritis and more. Sore, tired muscles? Rigid joints? Steam eases the pain.
And don’t forget the wellness benefits of aromatherapy and chromatherapy, along with the calming swirl of music that turns that dreadful day into a distant memory.
Next I headed to the Therapy pool and next the GANBANYOKU BEDS.
Meditate under soft lighting while laying on our Ganbanyoku heated stone beds. These Japanese stone beds not only soothe muscles and accelerate metabolism, but allow for increased circulation while heating your inner core. Great pre or post-spa treatment to help eliminate toxins from the body
The SHIO SALT ROOM was the last stop.
Close your eyes, inhale and soak in the respiratory benefits of an illuminated wall of Shio salt bricks, complemented by salt lamps, vibration therapy and radiant music for a soothing therapy that will leave you breathing deeply.

TALA Bath & Body Essential Oils, Clays, Scrubs, and Soaps
Derived from the Moroccan landscape and crafted by its people
The Arabic word “hammam” literally translates as “bath” in English, which hearkens back to the Roman and Turkish baths of antiquity. Now Mr. Steam introduces Tala Bath & Body essential oils, clays, scrubs and soaps. TALA: “A palm, a cool fountain spring, a beam of bright morning starlight… simply heavenly.”
You can embrace the full effect of TALA Bath & Body products by following the age-old Hamam ritual.
- Begin by warming your body in the bath, shower, or in steam
- Prepare and apply the TALA Bath & Body Rhassoul Lava Clay – as a mask for skin or face, as an exfoliant, or to cleanse hair
- Use the TALA Bath & Body Beldi Black Soap together with the Hammam Glove to soften and exfoliate the skin
- After a relaxing shower, apply TALA Bath & Body Argan Oil directly to skin, face and body, and massage
- Every evening, massage Nadifi Argan Oil Lotion generously on your face or body
TALA Bath & Body Rhassoul Lava Clay
Extracted from the mines of the Moroccan Fez region, this mineral-laden clay is meticulously dried, and transformed into a fine silken powder. When you add water, this powder forms a smectic clay that absorbs liquid or oil from skin and hair, removing excess oils and replacing them with healthful minerals.
Known for its exceptional quality, purity and exfoliating capability, TALA Bath & Body Rhassoul Lava Clay may reduce dryness and flakiness, improve skin clarity and elasticity, and possibly help remove impurities and unblock pores. The skin should feel silken with an improved texture noticeable for days after use.
How to Use TALA Bath & Body Rhassoul Lava Clay
As a Mask for Skin or Face
- Mix enough clay with warm water to make a smooth paste.
- Allow skin to soften in steam from bath, shower, or steam bathing.
- Apply to skin as a face or body mask.
- For mask, leave on for:
- 8-10 minute for dry skin
- 10-15 minutes for normal skin,
- 15-20 minutes for oily skin.
- Rinse in tepid water or organic rose water.
- Use a washcloth or other gentle cleansing pad to remove any pore impurities that have been brought to the surface.
- After use, apply Argan Oil or your normal post-cleansing moisturizing regimen to seal in the benefits and preserve the fine texture left by the Rhassoul treatment.
As an Exfoliant
- Mix enough clay with warm water to make a smooth paste.
- Allow skin to soften in steam from bath, shower, or steam bathing.
- Apply to skin as a soap or skin conditioner.
- Apply in thin layers to the body and let it dry on your skin.
- Scrub off using soft or rough glove.
Caution:
Purpose of rough scrub is to remove dead skin.
For the Hair
- Mix clay with warm water to make a smooth paste and use as a shampoo.
- Apply the clay to hair by sections starting from the back and moving forward.
- For dry hair, leave in for 5-10 minutes
- For normal hair, leave in for 5-15 minutes
- For oily hair, leave in for 10-20 minutes
- Rinse well.
TALA Bath & Body Moroccan Beldi Black Soap
Moroccan Beldi Black Soap is an integral part of the traditional Hammam ritual, the first treatment applied in the public baths of Turkey and the Middle East. With the luxurious texture of butter, this vegetable paste of black olives pulp is rich in vitamin E.
A rich mixture of oil and crushed olives, the soap is soaked in salt and potash. Moroccan Beldi Black Soap prepares the skin for exfoliation by softening it, making it scrub-ready. As it exfoliates and moisturizes, it softens and nourishes the skin.
How to Use TALA Bath & Body Moroccan Beldi Black Soap
After a few minutes relaxing in your hot bath, hot shower, steam room or Hammam, apply soap on a warm and wet body using only plain water. The Hammam Black Soap does not foam, but will become creamy when you add water. Avoid your face and eyes. Leave on for up to 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Your skin will now be softer and easier to exfoliate.
Caution: Do not apply soap on damaged skin. Avoid the area around the eyes and face.
Known as the Liquid Gold of Morocco…
Traditionally used for generations by Berber women as a beauty tool, TALA Bath & Body Argan Oil works as a food for the skin. It nourishes, helping your skin combat environmental damage and other aging factors.
The nutrients in TALA Bath & Body Argan Oil are beneficial in soothing a wide variety of skin imperfections, wrinkles and crow’s feet. No matter how old you are, your skin can feel more elastic.
How to Use TALA Bath & Body Argan Oil

A daily care regimen specifically designed for dry and dehydrated skin, TALA Bath & Body Face Cream is enriched by the velvety texture of TALA Bath & Body Argan Oil.
This cream can illuminate the skin, improve firmness and texture, and reduce signs of aging. As it banishes old skin and unveils a clear new layer, your appearance may be transformed: you may look radiantly younger, shining with a fresh, new glow.
