One Room Challenge Fall 2018: Week 2
This One Room Challenge has me waking up in the night in a panic!
This week did not go as planned. I had a miscalculation in my calendar and the cabinets are going in next Monday not this Monday. Not to worry, I think this will still all happen in time but the stars (and deliveries) must align. You may see a star theme happening here too.
Today. I present you with the plan and the items or the “what”.
Next week. I will give the “why” on the items I have chosen and why they were each carefully selected.
If you are just tuning in, be sure to go HERE for WEEK 1.
I still have a few open items to nail down like art, accessories and a bit more.

These will be out the door into the patio.
They are by Craftmade. I chose the The Wolford Sconce because I love the combination of black and brass with the seeded glass. They are perfectly transitional. You can find them HERE.

The Progress:
Laundry Room and Dog Room tile was successfully installed. I even put a drain in the dog room for future puppies.
The floors went from this…
to this… I matched the stain throughout the house.
7 parts Jacobean to 1 part Ebony.
Today all the trim and the shiplap was picked up today from our local Metrie distributor. Will share my trim details later once there is more to see.
The shiplap started today in the laundry and dog room.
Cabinet install is to start Monday…fingers crossed.
Tune in next Wednesday to see my plan and the next 4 weeks to see my progress (and say a little prayer).
Follow along the other participants too!

Wow love your progress so far. That tile is amazing! I’m using something similar as a backsplash!
Erin
Amazing progress! Can’t wait to see all that cabinetry in-place, and all your mood boards are so dreamy!
Linda
You really live by the motto “go big or go home”. This is going to be absolutely amazing Holly. I hope you are still standing by the reveal. What a project and I can’t wait to see the reveal.

Yaaas! You are crushing it! Love that you’re doing a kitchen and other rooms too! The tiles are beautiful!

My favorite thing in the whole word is that star tile! I can’t wait to see it up. And I love the Lacroix fabric. This is going to be so good!!

Holly, have always enjoyed your blog, but seriously a “scullery” – perhaps a bit pretentious, don’t you think?
HollyPhillips
Proper terminology is not pretentious in my opinion. A scullery by definition is “a room for cleaning and storing dishes and cooking utensils and for doing messy kitchen work.” That is exactly how we plan to use the space.
