I happened upon this image on Pinterest the other day and it stayed in my mind.  It is by artist Tom Fruin. I was captivated by the use of stained glass in a contemporary way.

A few days later Design Sponge featured him in a article showcasing the water tower installation in Brooklyn seen below. It is made of recycled materials. Even better!

I think it is amazingly beautiful turning this ordinary object into a work of beauty.
