Wanderlust Wednesday: Wine Country Wanderings
I want to share a long overdue look at my wonderful trip west to the wine country. I went a little over a month ago to Napa for a friends 40th Birthday weekend.
It was perfection from the moment we landed in San Fran. The weekend went so smoothly and without a hitch. I am always the planner of every trip. I was not the planner on this trip. The birthday girl and a few others took the lead and put together what I deam as the perfect trip. We were there Friday to Monday. This was my 3rd trip to the wine country and the best to date.
I am going to share all the stops on our itinerary.
We stayed at an exquisite rental home with a beyond killer view just a few miles from downtown Napa.
Friday:
arrive in SFO drive via the Golden Gate to Napa / Sonoma
Girl & the Fig – a fabulous lunch spot in Sonoma
Scribe Winery – have a lazy picnic on the hill
Angele Restaurant – beautiful French bistro in Napa
Saturday:
Oakville Grocery – stop for lunch provisions and picnic at Alpha Omega.
Dinner at Redd Wood
Sunday:
Boon Fly Cafe – worth the wait with bacon bloody mary and donuts..enough said
Hess Collection – this was such a treat for the amazing art collection and fab wine…
Opus One Winery – I have lots to share from this beauty
Domaine Chandon – a private tasting and many treats had our heads spinning
Pommes frites, cheese, and champagne… Girl heaven!

Dinner @ House w/ Chef – LeeAnn Geneve of the Gilded Grape Catering. It food was so fresh and delicious. It was a marvelous meal to remember.
NOTE: you must get a driver. We LOVED Napa Driver Tours. They will rent a van for you or drive your cars. I highly recommend them. Ryan was the bomb!
