It is time to brighten and lighten up your interior for Spring.
DESIGN TIPS FOR BRIGHTENING YOUR HOME
Winter has been full of polar vortexes and freezes beyond comprehension. We eagerly await the daffodils as they pop up from the cold hard ground emerging triumphant as they welcome Spring and warmth. I often find myself also wanting to design a bit of spring into my interiors as the temperatures rise and the days lengthen. I am sharing some tips to brighten and lighten your home.
Add color to your home:
Nothing says Spring like a pop of color in a drab space. New colorful throw pillows with, pinks, yellow or greens are and easy way to spruce up the space without a lot of cost or effort. Pillows are transformative.

Paint the Wall:
Paint is an easy trick for a makeover. A fresh coat of paint with a dash of color is the way to transform an otherwise drab room. Again, paint is not an expensive undertaking with a huge impact.
Floral Patterns:
Nothing says Spring like flowers, either real or faux. I know what you are thinking when I say faux…. not those kinds. I mean floral textiles, wallpaper or art. I am always a fan of any change that can make a big impact. This Festival Floral Rugis a perfect example of a way to brighten your breakfast room.
These chairs are the happiest of florals to bring brightness into your home. I would happily accept them at by kitchen table.

Plants & Flowers:
Real flowers are a must in any home. Bring Spring indoors all year long with a fiddle leaf fig in a french basket.
Always keep roses, peonies or tulips in your silver julep cups for a nice pick me up. It’s just a lovely notion to keep fresh flowers in your home especially from your own garden. Add style to your flowers with distinctive vases.
Natural Materials:
Switching out your heavy oriental rugs for lighter seagrass, sisal and jute is a nice touch for welcoming warmer weather. I’m a fan of these natural fiber rugs for bringing the outdoors in and their organic essence.

I hope I have inspired you to not only Spring clean but, to spruce up for Spring.
