I posted a few weeks ago about Hutton and Ruth Wilkinson's beautiful new home.  I included all the pictures from the wonderful Harper's Bazaar article.  I sent my post to Hutton whom I had met in Charlotte a few years back.  I was so flattered to be invited to his home last Sunday for a Tea.  It is a memory I will cherish.  

Hutton and Ruth were the most warm and gracious hosts. We snacked on homemade tea cakes and cookies.  The tea was supplemented by divine Champagne. The glasses and serving pieces were all sublime, Wedgewood majolica and coral teacups.  I was in heaven.  Many of the fabrics, lighting, rugs and upholstery items can be purchased through the lines the Hutton designs. I took lots of pictures to share of his home and the amazing gardens.   Coral is Hutton's version of white…and mine too!!

Dawnridge will be for tomorrow.  One can only indulge in so much at a time.  As I said last Sunday, had a visit to this estate been all I could do on my trip to LA, it would have been complete.

We spent over a hour on a guided tour of the property.  I loved it all.  Ok… the gushing can end.
