Art Crush: Natasha Law
While in NYC a few weeks back I had the pleasure of visiting the Home of Blair Voltz Clarke where she represents some of the hottest artists. Check out her whole apartment HERE. It is BEYOND with a perfect mix of antiques and contemporary art.
One of the many that really captured my attention is Natasha Law.
Natasha Law (older sister to sultry Jude Law) is known for her graceful silhouettes. Her paintings and drawings alike capture the allure of the subject through color, tone, and contrast. Her portraiture conveys delicacy while keeping a distinct contemporary feel.
Born and works in London, England
Here are a few available pieces…
I adore her commissions too….
Natasha Law, Eliza, 2012, Color Study for Gloss on Aluminum, 50 x 50 Inches
Natasha Law is best known for her high–gloss aluminum portraits of semi–nude female models in heels and panties. With a personal commission, a client has the opportunity to create a composition with Law’s signature line and fluid brush stroke. The artist first completes a series of sketches based on photographs provided by the client or that she has taken herself. After a favorite is chosen, Law begins painting with her signature high gloss medium.
Do you love as much as I do?
Here are a few pieces in situ.
They are just mesmerizing with the bold use of color and torrid imagery.
Be sure to hop of to the Voltz Clarke website to see many other FABULOUS artists and more features to come.
