Hidell Brooks Gallery Anniversary Group Show and Sally King Benedict
Hidell Brooks Gallery, my favorite gallery, has much exciting news to share. The expansion of Hidell Brooks Gallery for their 15 year Anniversary is almost complete. I am honored to have helped with the renovation. They have added many new artists including Amanda Talley and Sally King Benedict. Sally has been on my personal acquisitions list for some time with her colorful abstracts. See all the information below and join us at the show.

HIDELL BROOKS GALLERY
15th year anniversary group exhibition

cocktails + small bites
Hidell Brooks Gallery is pleased to announce the reopening of our gallery in the newly renovated and expanded space. We will celebrate our re-opening with our 15th year anniversary exhibition on March 15, 2013 with a reception from 6-9 pm. The anniversary group show will include work by 34 artists. Along with artists we have been showing for 15 years like Eric Aho, Phillip Geiger, Tony Hernandez, we have added some new faces to our stable including Rick Beck, Sally King Benedict, Jenny Nelson, Kate Long Stevenson and Amanda Talley to name a few. The exhibition will be a gorgeous array of very talented artists working today. The reception will be catered with small bites, champagne, beer and cocktails.
We have doubled the existing gallery to 3000 square feet. Lindsay Smith, a native Charlottean and principal of Dimcheff Smith Studio in New York City, who designed the original gallery has redesigned the new space. Lindsay Smith received her Master of Architecture degree with Distinction from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and her undergraduate degree in Architectural History from the University of Virginia. She is a registered Architect in New York State, a member of the AIA and a LEED Accredited Professional. The expanded space now has three distinct exhibition spaces with beautiful floating walls in front of the windows. We also have a much needed larger storeroom to have more available art on site.
Holly Hollingsworth Phillips a native Charlottean, an interior designer, blogger and co-owner of The English Room helped Hidell Brooks with all design aspects of the new space. Holly’s style is elegant, eclectic and colorful. She has completed homes all over the east coast that have ranged from the super modern to very traditional while keeping it true to her style.
We have a new website as well featuring our artists, all available works and a blog. Please call the gallery with any questions regarding the new space and the 15th year anniversary exhibition.
