B. Y. O. S. and a peek at Marrakesh

Bring Your Own Sunshine is a dealer of Boucherouite, Beni Ourain and Azilal Rugs on Etsy and a recent favorite of mine.

Amber, the shop owner, was kind enough to extend a 15% discount with "SUNNYDESIGN2013" discount code.

Amber's story is very intriguing and one filled with wanderlust.

"I am an American nomad living out of a hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco. In design, food, and life, I have a penchant for adventure.

Self-taught in modern art and design, I'm interested in fresh, exciting takes on the warm white interior. I think design isn't just about the furnishings – its about the whole experience from the moment you walk into a room.

I'm a girl with a lot of interests. For me, its the food, the folk tales, the proverbs, the stories, and the local history. I'm interested in the feeling of a place, and in the collective contributions of all of the cultures who've settled there. What they did, what they ate, where and why, and how environment influenced their art and design.

Morocco's history, stories, and secrets run deep. In the Beni Ouarain region, for example, there is a style of Beni Ourain rug which I call the "lazy river" style – this is because it imitates the meandering streams which come down the mountains when it rains. You really know its true when you are driving through the mountains of the Beni Ouarain region. I'm always looking for new inspiration and that element of surprise, and I'm fascinated to discover what is influencing the creativity of others.

I love to hunt for these impossibly wild and spontaneous rugs – each one more surprising than the next sometimes.."

I adore these tribal beauties. Do you?

Amber inclded some wonderful dreamy images from Marrakesh's logic-defying Jemma El Fna square. This makes my longing for a Moroccan adventure all to real.

I've always loved those imperfect rugs…I suppose some of the more asymmetrical ones might be harder to style in front of a sofa, but would be adorable in a hallway.
I wonder how Amber created the effects on the photos from Morocco…do you know if it was an app or Photoshop?Saturated and stunning.
